However, sudden load changes—such as an open door or the addition of warm product—require the system to "pull down" the temperature. During this hot pull-down phase, the unit will not adhere to standard Design Temperature Difference (DTD) or superheat guidelines. Fine-tuning should only occur once the system approaches its normal DTD.
